The Department shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password.

PRIVACY POLICY

  1. The Isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development (“the Department”) is a data controller under the Data Protection Act 2002. We hold information for the purposes of our statutory functions as assigned by Tynwald. The information held by the Department may be used for any of the Department’s functions.

  2. The Department receives personal information through this website. Personal information must be provided to complete the logon process required if you want to take advantage of the specific services offered by this site.

  3. We will only use personal information provided by you to deliver the services you have requested via this site. The Department may check information which it receives about you with what is already in its records. This can include information provided by you as well as by others such as other Government departments. We will not give information about you to anyone outside the Department unless the law permits us to do so.

  5. Access to site users’ information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Employees use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.
